Tributes for man, 26, who was gunned down by ‘suspect who fled’

Tributes have been paid to a ‘funny and honest’ brother and son after he was shot dead in a car near London Euston Station – before the suspect fled on a bike.

Nahom Medhanie, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene on Chalton Street in Camden.

Emergency services were called after reports of gunshots at around 11pm on Saturday.

CCTV footage showed he was shot several times while sitting in a white Nissan Juke by the suspect, who arrived and left on a bike.

Mr Medhanie’s grieving family is being supported by specialist officers.

In a tribute, they said: ‘Nahom was more than a son and a brother to us and since his passing it has been the hardest days of our lives.

‘He was funny, honest and would just light up the room with his presence and that’s what we loved most about him.’
