Beatrice is all smiles with Edo despite Epstein crisis ‘dividing pair’

Beatrice is all smiles with Edo despite Epstein crisis ‘dividing pair’,

Given the downfall of her scandal-hit parents, she could be forgiven for appearing a bit glum.

But Princess Beatrice, 37, was all smiles as she was seen leaving a swanky bar in London’s Notting Hill with her 42-year-old husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The couple, who married in 2020 and have two daughters, spent two hours at Eel Sushi bar for a friend’s birthday lunch before being picked up in a Porsche.

It comes amid reports that Beatrice has been left in floods of tears as ever-more troubling details of her parents’ dealings with Jeffrey Epstein have come to light.

She and her sister Princess Eugenie, 35, are facing mounting pressure to speak up about their links to the late financier following the arrest of their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, on charges of misconduct in public office.

There are also rumours Beatrice’s marriage to property developer Edo – a scion of Italian aristocracy – is in trouble.

While she has been keeping a low profile after her name appeared hundreds of times in the Epstein Files, Edo jetted 4,500 miles to Florida to promote his design business and was seen drinking wine in some of Palm Beach’s most deluxe locations.

Photos show him reclining outside the Art Deco Colony Hotel and holding a glass of rosé on the rooftop of the Mr C Miami hotel.

Sources close to Beatrice and Edo told the Daily Mail there has been notable ‘distance’ between the pair of late.

They claim that while Edo is keen to avoid his business being tainted by the scandal enveloping the House of York, Beatrice is ‘desperate to hold things together’.

One insider said: ‘Things haven’t been great for a while between them, but Beatrice has been determined to soldier on and forge a path through.

‘She really wants to almost naively see the good in people and will turn a blind eye to uncomfortable truths – that is why she was blind to her father’s behaviour, and the same is true of her belief in Edo.

‘She wants to stay together, but he seems more and more distracted by work and travel. Just when she needs him most, he’s been pulling away.’

While Eugenie has reportedly cut off ties with their father, Beatrice has allegedly offered her support to Andrew and her mother, Sarah Ferguson.

While there is no evidence Beatrice was involved in any wrongdoing, questions have been raised over the source of her finances.

Another insider said: ‘Edo’s really worried his in-laws will affect his business, Banda. He’s found some great investors, but it’s taking up a lot of his time and energy. He’s all about himself at the moment. You have to feel for Beatrice.’

Another said that dealing with the crisis has left Beatrice with little headspace to give her husband the attention he ‘needs’.

‘She feels very raw and beside herself on so many levels,’ the Daily Mail was told.
