Diletta Leotta reveals x-rated secrets behind marriage to Loris Karius

The glamorous wife of former Liverpool and Newcastle goalkeeper Loris Karius has opened up on the X-rated secrets behind their marriage – and even says she rates herself as a ’10’ in bed.

Diletta Leotta, 34, tied the knot with the 32-year-old FC Schalke shot-stopper in June 2024, and the pair are expecting their second child later this year.

Working as a presenter for DAZN’s Serie A coverage – which means splitting her time between Italy and Germany – Leotta has found herself in the firing line for wearing outfits some of her peers have considered provocative.

But she has hit back at those critics, claiming ‘image is part of our job’ and insisting that her choice of outfits are ‘as a matter of respect for the viewer’.

Now, in a podcast appearance with Italian sports presenter Victoria Cabello, Leotta gave viewers an insight into her sex life with Karius.

Asked what rating she would give herself in bed, she replied ’10’ before adding: ‘You know, the volcano of Etna, Sicily. I like it. The heat.’

Cabello then quizzed Leotta on her favourite sex position to which she replied: ‘Fantasy. Always something new, different.’

Leotta and Karius first began dating in 2022, welcoming their first child Aria the following year before marrying in an extravagant ceremony on the Italian island of Vulcano.

Announcing they were expecting their second child in December, the couple captioned their social media post: ‘This Christmas we couldn’t wish for a more beautiful gift. Aria is becoming a big sister, and our hearts are ready to love twice as much (red heart emoji).’

Karius has found joy on the pitch in recent times, almost eight years on from his disastrous Champions League final performance for Liverpool, in which his two mistakes gifted Real Madrid as many goals as the Galacticos ran out 3-1 winners.

The 32-year-old has been described as the ‘phoenix of football’ by those impressed by his comeback as he seeks to help hoist Schalke back into the top-flight of German football.

Living in Gelsenkirchen and spending limited time with his wife and daughter has been hard, he previously admitted, but Karius said their long-distance bond is so strong that Leotta has ‘even advised me to extend at Schalke’.

‘She thinks the club is great and she likes everything she has seen here so far,’ he added.

‘Diletta also thinks that royal blue is the perfect choice for my sporting success. She is fully behind this decision!

Leotta has fought back against critics of her dress sense while presenting football on TV

‘But of course it’s hard for me when I can’t see my little daughter Aria for days. But that’s what FaceTime is for, and we see each other regularly – as often as possible.’

The former Germany international also shared that Leotta’s impressive career had led to her being recognised in the street more than him when the pair are in Milan.

But Leotta’s eye-popping looks and personal style, while making her a popular figure both for the broadcaster and on social media, have attracted criticism from her peers.

Fellow presenter Valentina Maceri included Leotta in a group of broadcasters whose style borders on ‘vulgarity’ and who she believes lack ‘professionalism’.

But, hitting back, Leotta told La Gazzetta dello Sport: ‘Of course I feel it (people being obsessed with aesthetics). But I feel part of a shift in the perception of women as presenters and journalists, which I think is finally taking hold.

‘In this sense, I have to say I’m lucky to work with DAZN, because here they manage to emphasise competence, valorizing talent regardless of whether you’re a woman or a man. It’s clear that image is part of our job, especially for those in television, but if you turn out to be a container without substance, you won’t get very far.

‘Even today, I study, I prepare, I try to stay up to date: that’s the key. Also, a nice dress is a pleasure to wear; being well-groomed, pretty, and pleasant to look at, I think, is also a matter of respect for the viewer, but I think that applies in any work environment.’
