Nicola Peltz’s barbed post as she mimics David and Victoria Beckham

Nicola Peltz shared a loving post to her husband Brooklyn Beckham the morning after his 27th birthday.

But the actress appeared to mimic the wording used by Brooklyn’s parents in their birthday tributes to him amid their ugly fallout as she wrote: ‘We all love you so much Brooklyn.’

David and Victoria extended an olive branch to their son earlier this week as they shared childhood photos of him on social media and wrote ‘We love you Brooklyn’ – however Brooklyn is said to have found the posts ‘performative’.

Now, his wife Nicola has appeared to make a jibe at the Beckhams – who are known for always professing their love for family members in their captions.

‘Last night was so special thank you to everyone who came and made it so perfect,’ Nicola captioned the snaps, before mimicking their ‘love you’ comments by writing: ‘We all love you so much brooklyn!’

In a further dig, Nicola marked her territory as she shared another mirror snap from the evening with the song ‘Always Be My Baby’ by Mariah Carey playing over it.

Nicola Peltz threw a lavish 27th birthday party for her husband Brooklyn Beckham this week - but the post appeared to contain a barbed dig at Brooklyn's parents

In the Instagram post, Nicola seemingly took aim at David and Victoria's olive branch to their son by sharing a pointed song choice and mimicking their 'We love you Brooklyn' comments

Communication between the Beckham family has fallen apart so spectacularly that Brooklyn is said to have requested that any attempts from his family to communicate with him should be done through his lawyers.

However, on Brooklyn’s 27th birthday on Wednesday, his parents made sure to make it known that he was in their thoughts, sharing a slew of birthday tributes on Instagram.

Sharing childhood photos of Brooklyn and tagging his wife Victoria, David used his childhood nickname for his son, Buster, as he wrote ’27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you x’.

Minutes later Victoria shared the same photo and wrote ‘happy birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much’, before uploading a photo of herself laughing with her son with a string of love hearts.

Romeo and Cruz also shared posts along with members of extended family.

However, the posts are not said to have sat well with Brooklyn, with an insider telling ET that the aspiring chef wants to put an end to any attempt from his parents to contact him, including on social media, following their bitter falling out.

A source told the publication: ‘Brooklyn and Nicola are disheartened they chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday.

‘These are the exact type of performative public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail.

‘Last summer they issued a legal letter to his parents requesting that any correspondence go through lawyers.’

Despite the report, Brooklyn’s younger brother Cruz expressed his hopes of a reconciliation when he was asked about the fallout on Thursday while out in Paris with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel.

The musician, 21, was quizzed by a reporter if he had a message for Brooklyn as he celebrated his 27th birthday this week.

He simply replied: ‘Happy Birthday.’

When the TMZ reporter asked Cruz if he had spoken to him at all, he did not respond, though did say he ‘hoped to’ repair his fractured relationship with his sibling.

Brooklyn failed to publicly reach out to Cruz on his milestone 21st birthday last week and snubbed his birthday message this week.

One post he did respond to was Nicola’s, after she shared a gushing birthday message to him with a notably pink-themed tribute to her Instagram grid.

The American actress, who is taking on her most ambitious role yet as a ballerina in Prima, has been leaning into the traditional baby pink associated with the dance and its costume in her recent social media posts.

And Brooklyn’s birthday post did not veer from the pattern, as she treated her husband to pink doughnuts and flowers on the day.

Brooklyn, who was apparently disheartened by his parents’ ‘performative’ birthday tributes, was even fittingly dressed in a pale pink jumper to match the surroundings.

In keeping with the theme, Nicola was also wearing a baby pink top to match, in a cosy picture she shared of herself and Brooklyn cuddled up on the day.

Captioning the post, she wrote: ‘Happy birthday baby… I hope all your dreams and wishes come true! you light up every room you walk into and anyone who knows you loves you… you’re the most special human and I love being your wife. I love you I love you I love you.’

Responding to her birthday tribute, he wrote: ‘I love you baby girl.’

Now based in the United States with his actress wife Nicola, Brooklyn recently outlined his desire to distance himself from his family in a six-page Instagram statement filled with lurid allegations.

Addressing social media followers in January, he claimed his parents had tried to sabotage his marriage and have always prioritised public branding over their family relationships.

‘For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,’ he wrote.

‘The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.’

He added: ‘Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.’
