More than 90,000 fans are expected to be in attendance at Wembley on Saturday when Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois do battle for the undisputed heavyweight title.
While such a gargantuan crowd is bound to make almost anyone involved slightly nervous, ring girl Lux Mackay is taking the landmark event in her stride.
Based in London and represented by the Memo agency, Mackay has amassed more than 30,000 followers across social media for her fashion modelling and behind the scenes snaps.
The brunette, who has previously posed topless, has also detailed her preparations for Saturday’s unification fight in a series of hilarious TikTok videos.
In one posted during fight week, the model and her fellow ring girl Patricia Elena Tiparu can be seen dramatically completing some last-minute preparations inside the gym.
Mackay captioned the video: ‘POV: You have 24 hours till you’re in hot pants in front of 90,000 people for Usyk Dubois.
Despite the video Saturday’s event is not Mackay’s first rodeo as a professional ring girl.
The model has previously worked for Queensberry, MMA promotion Lions Fighting Championship and has posed for Conor McGregor’s Forged Irish Stout.
Working as a ring-girl for a high-profile fight has previously served as a launching pad for the careers of those involved.
American Sydney Thomas garnered significant fanfare when she served as a ring girl for Jake Paul’s clash with Mike Tyson last summer.
The appearance skyrocketed Thomas into the public eye as she was declared the ‘real winner’ by fans after the action inside the ring failed to live up to expectations.
She has since been thrust into the spotlight as her popularity continues to soar, attending a host of high-profile events and amassing more than 1 million followers on TikTok.
‘I get people coming up to me now and asking for pictures, that’s been an adjustment for me,’ Thomas told Mail Sport in February.
‘It’s weird walking around in public now and getting recognized. I never really thought that’s a position I’d be in. It’s great but it’s also a bit overwhelming.’
Daniel Dubois will be hoping to secure revenge on Saturday when he faces Usyk for the second time.
The pair first met at Wroclaw Stadium in Poland back in 2023 with Usyk’s unified titles on the line.
On the night, Dubois sent the champion crashing to the canvas in the fifth round with a controversial strike that was ultimately deemed to be a low blow.
After regaining his composure following an extended break, Usyk reclaimed control of the contest before scoring a stoppage in the ninth round.
Dubois has continued to improve since that night however, and earned the biggest scalp of his career to date when he stopped Anthony Joshua following a dominant showing back in September.
