Eight people have been injured in a land train crash at a holiday park in Cornwall.

Pictures from the scene show the vehicle’s trailer tipped over onto one side with debris strewn across the road.

The crash occurred just before 7pm on Wednesday night at the popular tourist hotspot of Tregoad Holiday Park near the coastal town of Looe.

Two helicopters – one from the coastguard and an air ambulance – rushed to the scene, along with police and paramedics.

The accident is thought to have involved the Looe Land Train – which is popular with tourists and can be booked for events.
