Chris de Burgh made a rare appearance alongside his daughter Rosanna Davison at the Lambertz Monday Night event in Cologne, Germany on Monday.

The Lady In Red singer, 77, looked in good spirits as Rosanna, 41, a former Miss World winner, joined him on stage during the evening.

The hitmaker looked dapper in a light blue suit while his daughter turned heads in a red corset top with shimmering, sequinned skirt.

The pair posed for photos with singer LaToya Jackson who cut a glamorous figure in a black, long-sleeved dress with a high collar.

The singer and younger sister of Michael Jackson struck a playful pose alongside Chris who gave her a kiss on the hand.

Chris, best known for his 1986 song Lady In Red, has had several top 40 singles in the UK and his 1975 hit A Spaceman Came Travelling became a popular Chrismtas song.

The Lambertz event is held annually in Cologne and features a ‘chocolate and fashion show’ with celebrity guests.

Disney+ has reportedly cast the singer for an unlikely cameo in the second series of its smash hit bonkbuster Rivals.

The steamy show, which is set in the 1980s, will see Chris performing Lady In Red during a lavish wedding scene.

Playing the role of fictional musician, he will perform for the cast which includes the likes of Danny Dyer, Aidan Turner and David Tennant.

As well as being featured on one of TV’s biggest series, Chris’ tune will also celebrate it’s anniversary this year 40 years after first topping the charts.

A source said: ‘The producers wanted a romantic number that would perfectly encapsulate the late Eighties, so what better choice than Lady In Red’.

‘And when it came time to have someone perform it, why not get the man himself to do the honours as he’s still out there going strong and hitting the road delivering performances.

They went on to tell The Sun: ‘Though it’s also fair to say that the emotional sound and lyrics are slightly at odds with some of the more animal elements of Rivals, which doesn’t ease up on the steamy storylines in the next outing.’

Daily Mail have contacted Chris De Burgh’s representatives and Disney for comment.

It comes after Danny Dyer said there is so much bonking in Rivals 2 – which is currently filming – that they have hired every intimacy coach in the UK.

The actor, who plays Freddie Jones in the show said: ‘We are doing 12 episodes of Rivals and we are filming until March next year.

‘It is brilliant but it is a mad thing to do a sex scene.

‘If you think about it you are legally allowed to tongue someone else. It is part of your job. Depending on your partner. It is OK if you fancy it, I am not going to lie.’

He added: ‘On Rivals there are a lot of intimacy coaches. I think we used every intimacy coach in the land.’
