Katie Price’s sister breaks her silence on star’s whirlwind wedding

Katie Price’s sister revealed it has been ‘one hell of a week’ after the star’s whirlwind wedding to Lee Andrews in Dubai.

Sophie, 36, took to Instagram on Thursday to tell fans their podcast, The Katie Price Show, has been postponed – seemingly hinting at tension after the surprise nuptials.

Katie shocked the showbiz world when she announced that she was engaged on Friday, just days after her breakup from reality star JJ Slater, 32.

The wedding took place just days after getting engaged, with sources saying even her family were unaware of the star’s new relationship with ‘businessman’ Lee, 43. They are now said to be planning an intervention.

An emotional Sophie said: ‘Hi guys, how are you all? I know you’ve all been chomping at the bit to find out what has been going on. All our DMs have been going off.

‘Let’s just say, it’s been one hell of a week. We have done over a 100 episodes of the podcast which sounds absolutely nuts when it;s just me and Kate doing our b*****s chat.’

‘We will back next week as normal and we will be able you guys on what’s been going on. It will be business as usual.’

Their followers rallied around Sophie, with some commenting it looked like she was fighting back tears.

They wrote: ‘You’re such a lovely sister Sophie, don’t forget to take time for you and protect your beautiful family bubble that you have created for yourselves. We can’t control what others do, we can only control how we react to it.’

‘You are a good sister’; ‘Hope you’re ok Sophie, you look like you’re holding back tears’;

‘Poor Sophie, younger sister trying to look after her older sister!! Kate needs help’;

‘Oh Soph! I can only imagine how you must be feeling with all the chaos. You’re such a great sister. Katie is so lucky to have you. Keep your chin up, lovely. xx’.

A source told Daily Mail that Katie’s family had not spoken to her since she walked down the aisle.

In an Instagram clip she shared earlier on Thursday, Sophie gave a big, drawn out sigh as she gave her followers an update on the last few days.

Katie Price's new husband's ex Alana Percival has claimed she has 'proof' he is a 'lying swindler' after warning her to 'run for the hills'

‘It has been a long old week. I’m very tired, looking forward to the weekend,’ she said.

It has been claimed that Katie’s family are deeply concerned about the speed of the relationship and are preparing to sit her down for a ‘serious talk’ over her marriage.

A source told The Sun: ‘Everyone is worried she’s spinning out of control.

‘They haven’t even met this man and if she’s only known him a week, he could be anyone. Nobody is planning to hold back.’

Daily Mail has contacted Katie’s representative for comment.

Following their nuptials, Katie jetted back to the UK alone, leading to questions from some about the legitimacy of the marriage.

But Lee has since taken to Instagram Stories to hit back at the claims, saying that he would be flying out to join his new wife on Thursday, and Katie had to fly back early so she could be reunited with her children.

In his post, Lee said: ‘I’m going to be meeting Katie tomorrow in the UK. I just need to wrap up a few things here.

‘She had to get back for her children because she’s a good mother and she’s lovely like that.’

He began the video: ‘So yes, I’m in Dubai, she’s in England, you’ll see us reunite.’

Before ending the post, he also referenced speculation that he and Katie had been wearing their wedding rings on the wrong hand.

He jokily added: ‘Our rings are on the correct hand, which is on the right hand, no I’m joking, it’s on the left hand.’

Following his wedding to Katie, Lee has faced accusations from exes that he is a ‘lying swindler,’ with some warning his new wife that she should ‘run for the hills.’

Lee’s ex-girlfriend Alana Percival took to Instagram on Wednesday with a warning to Katie that her new man is not what he seems.

She wrote: ‘Women look after women. I thought it was all a lie too until I had to find out the hard way… you want proof of everything, it’s waiting for you…’ and tagged Katie in the post.

Lee connected to Alana on Facebook last March and showered her with a Louis Vuitton handbag, Cartier jewellery and transferred thousands of pounds.

He proposed in September and the set-up was identical to Katie’s engagement at the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab.

The Daily Mail has contacted Lee Andrews and representatives of Katie Price for comment.
