Olivia Attwood and her husband Bradley Dack are reportedly heading towards divorce following an alleged ‘breach of trust’ on the footballer’s side.
Since news of their split emerged last week, Olivia, 34, has unfollowed Bradley, 32, on Instagram, moved into a flat in London and removed her wedding ring.
Aside from reports that the couple weathered a ‘really bad summer together’, power dynamics and long-distance appear to be key factors in the lead up to their split.
Olivia has become one of the hottest properties on British TV, dominating ITV’s schedule with spots on Loose Women, This Morning as well as being the face of Bad Boyfriends, Getting Filthy Rich and The Price Of Perfection.
Since starring on The Only Way Is Essex and I’m A Celebrity, she has landed a weekly spot on Kiss FM Radio with Pete Wicks and has launched her own podcast, Olivia’s House.
Just last year, Olivia revealed she received multiple offers from US bosses, making her plans to crack America possible.
She told the Daily Mail: ‘Love Island is huge in America, the UK one, so I feel really lucky there was already quite a large US audience on my Instagram, they are definitely happy to have the shows available, also in Australia as well.
‘I’m very happy with my career as it is right now. I mean I’ve had offers, I’m not looking to jump ship right now, but yes, at some point I’m sure we’ll do something over there.’
But while Olivia admits she thrives off the chaos that comes with her career, it means she spends a large time away from home and her husband.
The couple have previously spoke about their struggle of being in a long-distance marriage, with Brad away training and Olivia travelling for work.
Bradley’s work schedule is a stark contrast to Olivia’s flourishing career as she continues to climb to the top.
The footballer, an attacking midfielder for Gillingham FC and estimated to have a net worth of around £5.1million, has been in and out of recovery after sustaining injuries on the pitch.
When Bradley first signed to Gillingham in 2012, Olivia was a motorsport grid girl before she was thrust into the spotlight when she joined Love Island in 2017.
The couple first met in 2015, two years before she signed up to the show after discovering Bradley had cheated during the early months of their romance.
They later reconciled months after Olivia’s fling with former co-star Chris Hughes ended, and Bradley proposed during a romantic Dubai getaway in 2019.
Bradley was a prominent player for Gillingham until 2017 when he joined Blackburn Rovers.
After transferring to Sunderland FC in 2023, he was released after one season despite the club having the option of a one-year extension.
Bradley returned to the League Two Gillingham, where he now remains.
Olivia, who is estimated to be worth around £6million, has previously clapped back at the stigma of being a WAG, insisting she can fund her own lavish lifestyle without any help from her footballer husband.
The TV star also preferred having separate bank accounts from her husband to make sure their spending is ‘mutual’ in the relationship.
The documentary maker has been open with her fanbase over the past year about the struggles she has faced in her marriage.
She admitted the couple had endured a ‘challenging’ six months when asked about their relationship in September, shortly after she was pictured looking close to podcaster Pete on a boat in Ibiza.
Olivia explained that as her career continued to soar, with recommissions of all her TV shows including Getting Filthy Rich, it took priority in her relationship, and she and Bradley were constantly trying to navigate their busy schedules.
She told the Daily Mail: ‘Me and Brad never pretend to have a perfect relationship, we have been up, down, left, backwards, and the last six months have been really challenging for us.
‘My work and his work take precedence over everything, we have to navigate our relationship all the time.
‘It’s the boring side of being an adult in a long term relationship, we constantly have to work at it and that’s just the truth.
‘No one else really wants to say that part out loud but it is difficult at times.
‘It’s great to post a picture on Instagram but we’re transparent people and it’s not always like that, there are ups and downs, there are things on his side which haven’t been great, there’s a mix of things.
‘I have messed up and done stuff, Brad has messed up. It’s really easy to pretend you’re perfect but no one is if you just dig a little deeper.’
It emerged last week that the couple ‘separated’ after two years of marriage, bringing an end to their relationship of more than a decade.
Sources now claim that, two years after tying the knot at London’s Bulgari Hotel, the relationship is ‘over for good’ and the pair are heading towards divorce.
A source revealed: ‘Olivia and Bradley have had a long relationship full of ups and downs.
‘They have always managed to overcome any problems between them, including distance, their busy careers, and, in the past, betrayals from Bradley’s side.
‘But after meeting over a decade ago, Bradley’s recent breach of trust, which came as a complete shock to Olivia, has led them to end their marriage.
‘After being on and off at the start of their romance, some people have questioned whether this breakup is temporary, but it’s definitely not.
‘Olivia knows now is the time to move on for good, and while it’s heartbreaking for her, she believes it’s the only way to end their marriage on the best terms possible.’
The couple moved out of their Cheshire home in December, sparking fears their relationship was in an even worse state than Olivia had previously suggested.
However, the plan was for them to buy a new property closer to London following Bradley’s move to Gillingham F.C., and Olivia’s increasingly busy schedule, which requires her to be in the capital regularly.
The star celebrated Christmas at London’s The Corinthia hotel because Olivia was struggling mentally with dealing with boxes and suitcases at their new property over the festive period.
Shortly before the breakup was revealed, Olivia travelled to Germany with her family to celebrate her father’s birthday, but her husband did not join her for the trip.
Some eagle-eyed fans noticed Olivia wasn’t wearing her wedding ring during the festivities, as she continued posting TikToks with her siblings.
She had already spent months avoiding posting photos of them together because she didn’t want to give fans the impression that everything was fine in their relationship.
