Search for Mick Jagger’s granddaughter’s partner enters its fourth day

Police released new images of Sir Mick Jagger’s granddaughter’s missing partner today with the search in its fourth day after he vanished in a Cornish seaside village.

Alexander Key, 37, a chef who has two children with Assisi Jackson, 33, had last been spotted in a pub in Boscastle on Friday afternoon before CCTV showed him leaving.

He was reported missing on Saturday evening to Devon and Cornwall Police, who launched an urgent search as they became ‘increasingly concerned’ about him.

Officers said it was previously believed Key was last seen at 2.20pm on Friday at the Cobweb Inn, sitting alone in a black hooded top covered by a red stripy jumper.

But new images now show him at 3.25pm on Saturday, walking past the Wellington Pub on Old Road, in the direction of Boscastle Harbour towards the River Valency.

The fresh CCTV still issued this afternoon shows Key still wearing a distinctive red shirt, but he is also now wearing a blue anorak or waterproof and black trainers.

Officers have been looking for Key in treacherous weather after the area was hit by Storm Ingrid on Friday and Saturday then Storm Chandra yesterday and today.

CCTV footage issued by the Cobweb Inn on Sunday showed Key sitting in the pub, before another image showed him walking outside an hour later. The pub appealed to anyone with information to come forward, saying: ‘His family are so worried’.

Assisi’s mother, jewellery designer Jade Jagger, 54, took to social media to share the initial police appeal with her followers, posting images of Key on Instagram yesterday.

He is described by police as being 5ft 8in tall, of medium build with distinctive bright peroxide blonde hair and is normally seen wearing brightly coloured clothing.

In the police images shared by Jade – daughter of the Rolling Stones frontman and his first wife Bianca Jagger – Key can be seen wearing a striking orange patterned jacket.

The picturesque coastal village of Boscastle, known for its dramatic harbour and cliff-top walks, attracts visitors year-round but can be treacherous, particularly in winter.

Assisi is the eldest grandchild of rock legend Sir Mick, 82, and the daughter of Jade and her former partner, the artist Piers Jackson.

Assisi and Key live in Cornwall, where they are raising their two young daughters, Ezra, 11, and Romy, six.

Key co-owns The Rocket Store, a popular seafood restaurant in Boscastle, with head chef Freddie Woodruff.

The restaurant is known for using fresh ingredients, including fish caught daily by Key’s father and meat from their family farm.

Its interior features a prominent painting of a star constellation by Assisi’s father, Piers.

Jade was pregnant with Assisi’s half-brother, Ray Emmanuel Fillary, at the same time as Assisi was expecting her first child.

Jade gave birth to Ray just weeks after her granddaughter Ezra was born in May 2014, making Jade both a mother and grandmother to babies born within weeks of each other.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen Key or knows of his whereabouts to contact them immediately on 999, quoting log number 847 of 24/1/26.
