Travel company goes bust after 17 years – and won’t be giving refunds

A UK travel company has gone bust after 17 years of operations – and no refunds are set to be issued.

Regen Central Ltd, which sold flights and hotel packages, ceased trading last week.

It comes after the company recently went into liquidation.

Regen Central Ltd previously operated in Europe, South East Asia, and the Middle East.

The company was founded in 2009 in Hertfordshire, specialising in package holidays.

On the CAA’s ATOL failures page, it said Regen Central Ltd ceased trading as an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL) holder on January 13, 2026.

ATOL guarantees customers receive refunds if a company collapses.

The company, based in London, also traded under the names One Haji and Umrah, Regen Travels and Oneworld Travels.

A UK travel company that was set up in 2009 has now gone bust (stock)

It also ran operations through its websites regentravels.com, oneworld-travels.com and onehajjumrah.com.

The announcement on the ATOL failures page said: ‘We understand the company had no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings.’

This means that, as there are no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings, no refunds will be issued.

The page adds: ‘Bookings sold as accommodation only, non-flight packages, and flight only bookings for which tickets were issued are not protected by the ATOL scheme.

‘If you believe you are owed a refund for an ATOL protected booking, under Regen Central Ltd.’s ATOL, please contact us via email at claims@caa.co.uk.’

It’s not the first travel company to go bust recently.

Last year, a UK travel company collapsed into liquidation after running for 55 years.

Ickenham Travel Group ceased trading as an ATOL holder on November 20, the CAA announced.

It operated around the world in Europe, South East Asia and the Middle East

On the CAA’s ATOL failures page, it said the company – which is based in London – traded under the names Abu Dhabi Holidays, Ras Al Khaimah Holidays and Letsgo2.

It also functioned under the websites www.ickenhamtravel.co.uk, www.letsgo2.com, www.rasalkhaimahholidays.com, www.abudhabiholidays.co.uk, www.jaresortholidays.com, www.justallinclusive.com and www.ickenhamtravel.com.

Meanwhile, Great Little Escapes ceased trading as an ATOL holder on June 13, 2025 after 22 years of operations.

Similarly, UK travel company Jetline Holiday lost its ATOL licence last year.
