Music legend Morrissey has cancelled another gig on Saturday night amid ongoing health conerns.

The star, 66, pulled out of a concert in Atlanta just hours before he was due to perform on stage.

The promoters for the show took to social media to share a short statement saying all ticket purchases would be refunded.

They wrote: ‘Due to artist illness, the Morrissey show on January 17, 2026, at 8 PM has been cancelled.

‘All ticket purchases will be refunded automatically at the point of purchase. Please allow 7-10 business days for refunds to take place.’

No further details regarding his illness was given but the message stressed the decision had been taken ‘on medical advice’ and ‘in the interest of the artist’s wellbeing.’

The 66-year-old had already cancelled his first two gigs of 2026 after previously axing shows due to ‘extreme exhaustion’.

The last picture from a gig on Morrissey’s official Instagram page was from Oklahoma City on Tuesday night.

The former Smiths frontman was then set to play St Louis on Thursday evening but his did in California were recently cancelled due to him having an ‘adverse reaction to a prescription medication’.

Postponing the Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage show, a statement from the venue read: ‘Due to an adverse reaction to a prescription medication, the Morrissey concert originally scheduled on Saturday January 3, 2026 has been postponed.

‘Please hold onto your tickets as they will be honored for a rescheduled date.

‘Should you wish to request a refund, please contact your original point of purchase.

‘Requests for refunds must be received before February 2, 2026 at 5:00pm PST. (sic)’

His gig in San Diego the following evening was also cancelled.

The singer found fame with pioneering indie band The Smith in the 1980s (L-R: Band-members Johnny Marr, Morrissey, Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke in 1985)

The latest axed gigs have come just over a couple of months since he pulled out of a number of dates in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Lima, and Bogota from November 8 to November 22.

Just days prior, Morrissey also cancelled two shows in Mexico for the same reason.

In October, Morrissey cancelled his shows in Turkey due to a backlash against his support for Israel.

The concerts, which were due to take place in December, had tickets removed from sale after footage from a 2012 show went viral, in which he was seen draped in an Israeli flag while performing in Tel Aviv.

And in September, the singer cancelled gigs in Connecticut and Boston following a ‘credible threat’ to assassinate him on stage.

A message posted on Morrissey’s official Facebook account at the time read: ‘In recent days, there has been a credible threat on Morrissey’s life.

‘Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of both the artist and audience, tonight’s engagement at Foxwoods has been cancelled. We appreciate your understanding.’

A later message added: ‘Due to recent events and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of both the artist and band, the upcoming shows this weekend at Foxwoods and MGM Music Hall have been cancelled.

‘All tickets will be refunded automatically at your original point of purchase. We appreciate your understanding.’
