Salford close to deal for Fleetwood striker
Salford City are closing on the signing of Fleetwood Town striker Ryan Graydon.
The 26-year-old former Republic of Ireland U19 international has scored three goals in 12 games this season.
Salford have agreed to pay £350,000 with bonuses potentially taking the fee up to £500,000. They hope to complete the deal on Thursday.
Downs completes Hamburg loan
Southampton striker Damion Downs has joined Hamburg on loan.
The 21-year-old USA international, who was born in Germany, joined Saints from Cologne for £7million in July.
His last appearance for Southampton was as a 78th-minute substitute in the 3-0 win over Leicester City on 25 November.
Hamburg are 13th in Bundesliga and four points off a relegation play-off place.
Hammers face competition for Bento
West Ham’s bid to sign Brazilian goalkeeper Bento is under serious threat from Genoa.
The Hammers have offered a loan with option to buy to Bento’s club Al Nassr but the 26-year-old is understood to prefer the chance to move to Italy instead.
West Ham are now in a perilous league position following last night’s 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest where keeper Alphonse Areola gave away the crucial penalty after punching Morgan Gibbs-White in the head.
Equally, Genoa are one place above the relegation places in Serie A but are increasingly hopeful of tempting the Brazil keeper to join them.
Newcastle offered La Liga defender
Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Celta Vigo defender Oscar Mingueza.
The 26-year-old can play at centre-back and full-back and is out of contract in the summer. His club are pushing for an £8m fee this window and he has also been proposed to Aston Villa and West Ham.
Bees targeting another highly-rated young forward
Brentford are keen on Club Brugge’s young forward Kaye Furo.
Director of football Phil Giles and his scouting team continue to impress with their knack of finding attacking talent for the Premier League and the Belgium U21 international fits the bill.

Tottenham to up offer for full back and eye attacker

Spurs have recalled winger Yang Min-Hyeok from his loan at Portsmouth and have sent him to Coventry on loan. He will be joined there by Romain Esse from Crystal Palace.
Wilson attracting interest ahead of West Ham exit
West Ham striker Callum Wilson is looking to terminate his contract within the next ten days.
Wilson was originally down to be in the squad to face Nottingham Forest last night but was subsequently withdrawn.
The 33-year-old will become a free agent and is attracting interest from the UK and Saudi Arabia.
Another West Ham forward Callum Marshall is due to join VfL Bochum on loan today.

Arsenal are maintaining talks with Blackburn Rovers over the signing of 17-year-old forward Igor Tyjon.
Arsenal have monitored the England U18 international’s development for over a year and a move this month has not been ruled out.
