Forensic expert claims there’s conclusive proof of an Epstein cover-up

A forensic psychologist has told the Daily Mail there’s now ‘conclusive proof’ the true circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s death have been covered up.

Dr John Paul Garrison examined new surveillance footage from New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center in the latest batch of Epstein files, showing clear views of areas near the convicted sex offender’s cell that were previously unreleased.

He called the videos proof of a cover-up because they came from cameras officially reported as non-functional, yet the footage exists and provides angles that could have seen the events on the night of Epstein’s death.

However, the footage from the prison hallway camera skipped over several critical hours, specifically jumping from around 11pm ET on August 9, 2019 to 1am on August 10, and again from 2am to 9am on August 10, meaning the entire period surrounding Epstein’s death is completely missing.

The federal government officially concluded Epstein died by suicide by hanging, with no evidence of foul play, according to the 2019 medical examiner’s ruling and follow-up DOJ reviews last year.

Garrison claimed that the videos also don’t match the Department of Justice Inspector General’s report and FBI emails, which detailed that the DVR2 system at the prison was not working and couldn’t make recordings on those nights.

He added this mismatch means the released surveillance videos from August 11 should not exist according to government documents, suggesting the DVR system was secretly working and clips were deleted, or the maps showing the working cameras were falsified to hide evidence.

‘Either way, if you look at all of the information reported, this camera cannot have captured this and saved it to a DVR according to everything that we’re being told,’ Garrison declared in a video breakdown on YouTube.

Dr John Paul Garrison (Pictured) claimed in a viral YouTube video that there is evidence in the Epstein files which points to a cover-up surrounding his death

Garrison, a clinical and forensic psychologist from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, has gained a large following online for his true crime analysis and in-depth explorations of high-profile crime cases.

The forensic expert also revealed the notes from Epstein’s autopsy suggested he could not have committed suicide, based on the lack of bruising the fatal incident should have caused and medical records from a previous incident on July 28, 2019.

Specifically, Epstein had complained of numbness in his right arm and neck, stating that his arm felt numb and he could not make a fist with that hand, which Garrison explained would make it unlikely for him to have shredded the tough anti-tear prison linens by hand to create a noose just days later.

‘This case is highly unusual. While I cannot say that the autopsy describes something that is literally impossible from a physical standpoint, it presents a biomechanical scenario that defies straightforward logic given the forces and conditions described,’ Garrison told the Daily Mail on Friday.

Garrison’s YouTube breakdown on December 29 also highlighted the confusing details allegedly written by the medical examiner, who described Epstein’s genitalia as looking ‘normal.’

That statement directly contradicted testimony from an alleged Epstein victim who portrayed it as small, extremely deformed, and shaped like a lemon.

‘It is difficult to believe it would not have been documented by the medical examiner, given how meticulous and detail-oriented autopsy reports typically are,’ Garrison explained.

‘I personally believe Jeffrey Epstein was murdered, but there are others who argue that the body examined may not have been Epstein’s at all, and inconsistencies like this only add fuel to that speculation,’ he said.

Garrison examined hours of new prison footage which he claimed should not exist based on the documents claiming the prison surveillance cameras were not working

The Daily Mail has reached out to the Department of Justice for comment regarding Garrison’s analysis and is awaiting a response.

Garrison revealed that his review came from spending hours examining Data Set 8, which was released December 19 along with thousands of documents and pictures showing Epstein with high-profile celebrities and politicians.

The forensic psychologist noted that he regularly reviews autopsy reports, medical examiner findings, and large volumes of investigative records for both forensic and legal purposes, but cannot provide a definitive medical opinion on Epstein’s death.

‘What I am trained to do is identify inconsistencies, contextual red flags, and areas where facts do not align cleanly with the reported circumstances,’ he said.

In this case, the new footage also included a mysterious clip of J Tier, a nearby prison wing at the Metropolitan Correctional Center which held Epstein for only a brief time in July, weeks before his death.

In the video, guards could be seen speaking with prisoners and even passing what appeared to be a note or piece of paper to an inmate.

The DOJ has not provided any context for the photos or videos included in the Epstein file releases, including the video from J Tier. What those inmates and that prison wing have to do with the Epstein death investigation remains a mystery.

‘If the J Tier footage is unrelated to Epstein’s brief housing there, then its inclusion is even more difficult to explain. The only observable event of note is a correctional officer handing what appears to be a note or object from the floor to an inmate,’ Garrison said.

‘That does not reasonably justify why this footage would be preserved and released while footage from Epstein’s tier is missing and no additional footage from any tier is included.’

‘I am confident that additional footage was recorded on the night of Epstein’s death, at least to one DVR system that was known to be functional. In my opinion, the explanation that the footage simply has never existed is not credible,’ the forensic expert concluded.
