Sabrina Carpenter wears a pink sequin dress in The Muppet Show teaser

Sabrina Carpenter is set to star in the upcoming The Muppet Show 2026 as she joins the much-loved characters for a special instalment. 

A teaser trailer for the series, which was released on Friday, showed the singer, 26, wearing a pink sequin dress as she co-ordinated with Miss Piggy. 

The special will mark the 50th anniversary of the original The Muppet Show series and is set for release on ABC and Disney+ on February 4. 

Sabrina will feature alongside the likes of Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg in the episode. 

Speaking in the trailer, Kermit The Frog announces: ‘It’s the return of The Muppet Show!’ 

The camera then pans to the stage, with Sabrina hailing Miss Piggy ‘an icon’ as they get ready in the dressing room.

The synopsis for the upcoming show reads: ‘Kermit, Miss Piggy and the beloved Muppet gang are back with a brand-new special event. 

‘Music, comedy, and a whole lot of chaos are bound to ensue when The Muppets once again take the stage of the original Muppet Theatre with their very special guest, Sabrina Carpenter!’ 

In early December Sabrina said farewell to her 14-month-long Short n’ Sweet tour. 

The music artist’s wildly successful tour ended in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena in the city’s downtown neighborhood.

The endeavor kicked off in September 2024 and included a tight schedule of 72 shows throughout the world.

Amid the ambitious undertaking, the songstress released another album — Man’s Best Friend, which came out this past August.

The project has earned her a whopping six Grammy nominations for the upcoming February 2026 ceremony.

Her appearance on The Muppet Show comes after she released new tracks for her Man’s Best Friend album.

She surprised fans on Christmas Eve by releasing Man’s Best Friend (Bonus Track Version), featuring the newly unveiled song Such a Funny Way.

She dropped the track alongside a lyric video, saying she is ‘so proud of’ it and a song she always imagined living in the same universe as Man’s Best Friend.

She told fans on social media that the emotional release was meant as a holiday gift, saying she didn’t want them to ‘wait too long’ to hear it. 

She wrote to her fans, ‘To thank you for such a beautiful year …and to supply whoever needs a cathartic christmas crashout song…

‘Man’s best friend bonus track edition with one of my favorites ‘Such a Funny Way’ is now officially available on streaming.’
