Kate and William share some of their favourite unseen photos from 2025

Princess Catherine and Prince William have shared an unseen collection of their favourite photos from 2025.

They picked one snap from every month of the year, and each features one or both of the Royal couple during a memorable occasion.

Ranging from grand set-piece events to intimate moments, the photos reflect the broad range of Kate and Williams’s duties and passions.

The collection begins with the pair attending an emotional Holocaust Memorial Day service in January – an experience they described as a ‘great honour’.

They can be seen each holding a candle and sharing in a moment of quiet contemplation at the service in London.

Holocaust Memorial Day takes place on January 27 each year to remember the Jewish people who were killed in the genocide, and this year’s event also specifically marked the 80th anniversary of the liberation of former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The Royals were able to meet and reunite with survivors of the genocide.

February’s choice shows the Princess of Wales visiting a mother and baby unit at a prison in Cheshire.

March: The Princess of Wales attends the Irish Guards St Patrick¿s Day Parade

Kate made the trip to HMP Styal in her capacity as patron of Action for Children, and she highlighted the importance of consistent mother and baby relationships in a child’s development.

The photo shows Kate looking relaxed as she chats with three women in the gardens, with two prams between them.

From March, the couple selected a photo of Kate attending the St Patrick’s Day Parade of the Irish Guards.

It shows her surrounded by a group of Guardsmen inside Wellington Barracks in Westminster for the March 17 parade.

Dressed in the festive green, she also put drinks behind the bar for guardsmen and enjoyed a sip of Guinness during a toast.

Kate appears solo again in the April choice, this time dressed in tweed during the couple’s tour of the Inner Hebrides to mark their 14th wedding anniversary.

Their two-day trip took in the Isles of Mull and Iona, where the couple is known as the Lord and Lady of the Isles or as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.

The Princess is pictured in a light-hearted moment, peering through a pair of makeshift cardboard binoculars.

May: Prince William and Prince George speak with veterans at the 80th anniversary of VE Day

June: The Prince of Wales, His Majesty The King and The Princess Royal at Trooping the Colour

May brought a sweet moment on the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

Kate and William were joined by their eldest, Prince George, for a tea party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate victory in Europe over the Nazis in 1945.

In the photo, father and son are captured listening attentively to one of the veterans invited to the occasion, as he sips a cup of tea.

King Charles’s only cameo in the collection comes in a snapshot of Trooping the Colour in June.

His Majesty, Princess Anne and Prince William can be seen sharing a more relaxed moment amid the formalities of the military parade.

William is suited up in the full ceremonial uniform of the Welsh Guards, and notably also wore a black armband as a sign of mourning for the victims of the Air India crash.

Princess Kate’s role at the Wimbledon final is the subject of July’s photograph.

Wearing an elegant blue dress, she is seen presenting the trophy for the men’s singles title to Italian Jannik Sinner, after his triumph over arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz.

August: The Princess of Wales launches a series of animated films through The Royal Foundation¿s Centre for Early Childhood

September: The Prince and Princess approach Marine One as President Trump lands in Windsor ahead of the US State Visit

August’s pick sees Princess Kate looking full of joy as she launches a series of animated films to help people who work with children.

She designed the films to help those workers seize the ‘golden opportunity’ to change the course of young lives.

The Princess was said to have been ‘closely involved’ in the creation process, and spent time with illustrators to help commit her vision to tape.

Next, from September, the couple are pictured together again as they approach President Trump’s helicopter to greet him.

Marine One landed in Windsor ahead of the US State Visit, where William and Kate welcomed the President and First Lady Melania.

William memorably broke the ice with a dash of humour, joking: ‘This is my father,’ as he gestured towards the King.

Prince William was snapped on further official stateman duties in October.

He was photographed attending an audience with the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, in a show of continued support for the country against its aggressive neighbour – Russia.

November: The Prince of Wales plays volleyball on the Copcabana ahead of the 2025 Earthshot Prize in Rio de Janeiro

December: The Princes of Wales attends The Welsh Guard Christmas party at Combermere Barracks

The pair previously met in March of this year when William visited Estonia and was welcomed by Mr Karis to the President Palace.

The most lively of the collection comes from November, when The Prince of Wales tried his hand at volleyball on Copacabana Beach in Brazil.

He impressed onlookers by ditching his socks and shoes and throwing himself into the game – even rolling around in the sand, as the photo shows.

William was in Rio ahead of the 2025 Earthshot Prize ceremony.

Finally, to round off the year, the Prince and Princess of Wales selected a photo of William enjoying a beer at The Welsh Guard Christmas party.

The prince is seen laughing along with a fellow Welsh Guardsman at a table strewn with various alcoholic and soft beverages.

He tucked into a full festive lunch while visiting the guards as part of his position as colonel of the regiment – a ceremonial role he has held since December 2022.
