Martin Kemp finally faces a Bushtucker Trial in a first glimpse of tonight’s I’m A Celebrity – but appears to goof off with Ant and Dec while Tom Read Wilson does the lion’s share of the work.
Spandau Ballet legend Martin, 64, and Celebs Go Dating star Tom, 39, team up for the latest challenge – titled Lethal Libraries.
Tom enters a room and begins rooting through a book shelf covered with snakes, trying to find the Jungle Book.
As he asks “where are you?” while rummaging and apologises to the snakes, the camera cuts back to Martin having a laugh with Ant and Dec.
After Ant, 50, references there is a snake – Kaa – in Rudyard Kipling’s famed story, Martin imitates the character by saying: ‘Look into my eyes.’
The three chuckle as Tom continues his search, with the ex-EastEnders actor cheekily quipping to his campmate: ‘Be careful, there’s snakes in there!’
Ant and Dec then start singing The Bare Necessities, a classic song from the 1967 animated Disney film – with Martin joining in and dancing along.
While Martin is having a good time with the presenters, he also has his own role to play in the trial.
To learn what that is, viewers will have to tune into the episode and find out how the pair get on.
It comes as former campmate Vogue Williams opened up about Martin’s lack of trials on the ITV show.
Irish model Vogue, 40 – who was eliminated in Monday’s episode – took to her official Instagram account where she went live to answer fans’ I’m A Celebrity questions.
During the Q&A, from her luxurious bedroom at the five-star Marriott Hotel in Surfer’s Paradise, Vogue claimed Martin was secretly exempt from a selection of Bushtucker trials.
It came a day after his own son, presenter Roman, poked fun at his father’s lack of participation when it came to the challenges.
Vogue told fans: ‘Martin did want to do the trials, but Martin was exempt from some.
‘And I think everybody wanted to do the trials, which was probably unusual for a year.’
She added: ‘I think that because Martin is a bit quieter he was kinda happy to let everybody else go ahead.
‘Martin’s sound, such a nice guy. He’s really, really lovely.’
The Daily Mail has approached ITV for comment.
Elsewhere, viewers previously addressed Martin not being featured enough on the show – saying he was ‘missing’.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues Thursday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
