I’ve been skiing for as long as I can remember – literally. My parents had me on the slopes at three years old. Since then, I’ve tried and tested more brands than I care to admit, from luxury labels to the so-called ‘technical’ pieces that promise the world… and then rip after two wears (yes, that actually happened to me last season, and no, I’m still not over it).
And here’s the thing: a ski trip is already expensive. By the time you’ve sorted accommodation, ski passes, gear and factored in the hot chocolates and obligatory Aperol Spritzes consumed at altitude, the costs stack up fast. So skiwear – good skiwear – has to earn its keep. Ideally, it’s something you invest in once and pull out year after year.
But over time I’ve learned that great doesn’t always have to mean pricey. There are a few high street heroes that deliver both style and substance – pieces that look chic in the Instagram pictures yet actually keep you warm and dry on the mountain. And for me, there’s one brand I always come back to: Oysho.
What I love about Oysho’s skiwear is that it strikes that elusive balance between sleek design and true functionality. The silhouettes are streamlined and modern – think clean lines, neutral palettes and subtle details that read far more premium than the price tag suggests – yet everything is built with real performance in mind.
And because I’ve already planned half my outfits for my next ski trip, I’ve sifted through the new collection and pulled together my favourite fresh drops from the activewear brand. So keep scrolling for proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune to look (and feel) like the best-dressed skier on the mountain…
