Adam Peaty’s mother makes poignant remark to the swimmer amid feud

Adam Peaty’s devastated mother Caroline has made a heartbreaking comment to the swimmer as their family feud rumbles on.

The Olympian, 30, left jaws dropping earlier this month when it was revealed he had uninvited his relatives from his wedding to Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly, 26, after Caroline was not invited to her swanky hen do.

The couple are set for a Christmas wedding spectacular, where they will exchange vows at Bath’s historic Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, before embarking on festive drinks, although few of Adam’s family will be in attendance.

In a nod to her heartache, Caroline took to Instagram on Sunday to share a poignant message about family and the festive period, in which she referenced parents and what they did for their children.

Part of the message read: ‘It wasn’t the presents it was the presence of my parents who did everything they could to make the magic happen’.

In September 2024, Adam got engaged to Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly however he found himself at the centre of a media storm last week when a volatile family row surrounding their upcoming wedding was revealed

The astonishing family feud kicked off after news arose that Adam’s mother was not invited to Holly’s hen do, where she was joined by her mum Tana, Adam’s sister Bethany and Victoria Beckham at Soho Farmhouse.

In the wake of the snub, a number of stories of strife unravelled, with shock claims on each side about the fallout – including allegations that Holly and Adam made Caroline chose a different outfit for the wedding as they did not like her choice.

Her poignant message on Sunday remarked upon being with family at Christmas while also highlighting what parents do for their children.

The note read in full: ‘I don’t remember every gift I opened when I was 5, 6, or even 10. I remember the smell of the kitchen. The glow of the lights…

‘The way love felt louder in December. It wasn’t the presents it was the presence of my parents who did everything they could to make the magic happen’.

Last week it was revealed Adam’s sister Bethany is the only member of his side who appears to have survived the bitter family fallout ahead of his wedding.

The hen do snub sparked a huge response from the Peaty family, with Adam’s aunt Louise blasting her nephew and his fiancée Holly in a series of Instagram comments.

She later claimed her sister Caroline wasn’t invited to their wedding due to her appearance and not having the correct ‘look’.

But one member of Adam’s side of the family appears to have survived the feud, his sister Bethany – who did make the cut for Holly’s picture perfect Cotswolds hen do.

Now, The Sun has reported that the real reason Bethany made the cut is because she ‘fits in’ to the Ramsays’ glamorous world because ‘she’s blonde and pretty’.

And it is claimed Bethany herself has had her head turned by the celebrity lifestyle.

Bethany was also reportedly asked to be one of Holly’s bridesmaids at the wedding.

A friend close to the family told the publication: ‘Bethany has always been very close to Adam and she is really taken with the celebrity lifestyle, she’s had her head turned by all the glitz and glamour.

‘She was over the moon to be at the hen party, hanging out with Victoria Beckham and couldn’t wait to tell all her friends about it. She really fits in with the glam world – she’s blonde and very pretty.’

Adam came from humble Staffordshire beginnings born to his mother Caroline and father Mark - but his Olympic success propelled him into the world of fame of fortune

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Adam for comment.

It comes two days after Adam broke his silence amid the toxic family rift by sharing a statement in which he also spoke on Bethany’s behalf, cementing their allegiance.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Adam insisted there are ‘two sides to every story’ and that he, Holly and Bethany ‘will get through’ the ‘challenging times’.

He penned: ‘For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place.

Holly revealed she 'makes all the decisions' in wedding planning with fiancé Adam

‘I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times.

‘Bethany [his sister], Holly and I will get through this – we do not ask for sympathy. We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story.

‘To those of you who have reached out and shown kindness and understanding – thank you. It is deeply appreciated.’

He also explained that he, Holly and Bethany cannot go into detail due to ‘an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose long before recent events’.
