Boy, five, rushed to hospital after wall collapse at crazy golf course

A five-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after a wall collapsed during a child’s birthday party at a crazy golf course.

Police were called to Sidcup Family Golf on Sidcup Bypass, southeast London, at around 5.45pm on Sunday. 

The boy was rushed to hospital by London Air Ambulance paramedics, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

A six-year-old girl was also injured in the incident but has since been discharged from hospital. 

Witnesses reported that the boy had been attending a children’s birthday party. He is thought to have sustained a head injury.

It is not known what wall on the premises collapsed and police are investigating.

Sidcup Family Golf, which provides range driving facilities and golf lessons as well as crazy golf, remains closed following the incident. 

In a statement on its site, a spokesperson for the firm said: ‘Sidcup Family Golf is closed today following an incident on site.

‘Our thoughts are with those affected. We appreciate your understanding at this time and will share further updates when appropriate.’ 

The Met Police, London Ambulance Service and Sidcup Family Golf have been contacted for comment.
