Aesthetics nurse shares how to get flawless skin like Taylor Swift

Aesthetics nurse shares how to get flawless skin like Taylor Swift,

A top aesthetics nurse has revealed how to achieve Taylor Swift’s ‘smooth, radiant complexion’ as fans of the US star eagerly discuss her current look.

Taylor, 36, has made several TV appearances to promote the release of her new album, The Life of a Show Girl, which dropped to much celebration a week ago.

She typically has a style reinvention for every new album—to the point that her record-breaking Eras Tour saw fans arrive at stadiums across the world in a multitude of looks inspired by the singer songwriter—and her latest LP release has seen her embrace the colour orange, with the artwork featuring plumes of feathers and diamantes.

But that’s not the only aspect of Taylor’s appearance which has got fans’ tongues wagging, with fans commenting on how glowing the recently engaged singer has looked while appearing on primetime TV and radio shows.

Encouragingly, Nina Prisk, from the cosmetics clinic Update Aesthetics told the Daily Mail, that you don’t need to have Taylor’s bank balance to nail her A-list skin.

Her look, Ms Prisk—who has never treated Taylor—explained, can be achieved through ‘consistency’ and ‘skin health’ rather than ‘heavy treatments’.

She said: ‘A good starting point is medical-grade skincare. Vitamin C helps to brighten and even tone, while retinol refines texture and supports cell renewal.

‘[Laser] treatments such as Baby Face or Clear and Brilliant are also effective. Baby Face offers more intensive resurfacing for deeper lines and texture.’

Meanwhile, ‘Clear and Brilliant provides a gentler, preventative approach with minimal downtime making them ideal for maintaining that luminous, youthful-looking skin.’

However, for the best results, you should tailor treatments to your skin type—which is typically broken down as normal, oily, dry combination or sensitive—she explained.

She explained: ‘Dry skin tends to respond well to deeply hydrating treatments such as Profhilo or other biomodelling injectables, which store moisture from within.’

Biomodelling injectables are a type of treatment that delivers high concentrations of hyaluronic acid beneath the skin.

‘Oily or combination skin, on the other hand, may benefit more from light-based or laser treatments to refine pores and balance oil production.’

If you have sensitive skin, Ms Prisk added: ‘The focus should be on barrier repair and using calming ingredients like niacinamide and ceramides rather than harsh actives.’

Niacinamide which help hydrate the skin can be found in products like La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum which costs £48 at Boots.

Similarly, ceramides keep the skin hydrated, and they can be found in CeraVe Moisturising Cream 177ml which costs £12 at the same store.

For her clients, she adjusts depth or intensity of laser settings and topical serums she uses to ‘suit each individual’s skin type and tolerance’.

But what you should be doing to look as radiant as the Bad Blood singer also depends on your age, Ms Prisk explained.

Taylor Swift released her 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl was released last week

‘In your 20s, prevention is key, and SPF, antioxidants, and building a strong skincare foundation to set the tone for long-term skin health,’ she said.

‘In your 30s and 40s, collagen production starts to decline by around one to 1.5 per cent per year.

‘So, treatments that gently stimulate regeneration, like micro needling, light peels, or professional skin-boosting therapies, become more beneficial.’

It’s also possible for those in their 50s, to get a ‘youthful appearance’, by getting treatments ‘like Endolift’, she explained.

This treatment, she explained, ‘corrects any sagging and improves contours around the face, jawline and neck’.

It is a non-surgical laser procedure that uses an micro-optical fibre to deliver laser energy under the skin which encourages collagen production, melts fat pockets, and tightens jowls from the inside out.

Ms Prisk claims that if you ‘stick to a consistent skincare routine’ you could see improvement in tone and hydration ‘within a few weeks’.

But she added, if you’d like quicker results ‘hydrating facials such as Crystal Clear’s Skinstorm gives an instant boost, leaving skin smoother, firmer and more radiant right away’.

In contrast, she said: ‘Treatments that work deeper, stimulating collagen such as my radio frequency Sculpt & Shape take a bit longer.

‘It’s all about combing the immediate benefits with longer term treatments to keep skin healthy, glowing and strong over time.’

Taylor has never spoken about her skincare routine or if she has undergone any in-clinic treatments.

And while some fans have unkindly questioned if she might have had fillers or anti-wrinkle injections, she has never spoken on record about having any tweakments.

Representatives for Taylor Swift have been approached for comment.
